Vacation in Paradise

Just spent the last weekend on the beach in Florida.

Fantastic.

Can't come up with enough words to describe. So here's a picture. It looked exactly like this...

I could have stayed forever.

I wonder--do people who live there take it all for granted? Do you stop seeing how beautiful it is? Stop experiencing the wonder of it?

Now, if only there weren't those damn hurricanes....

I always wanted to live in Florida at the beach until I became closely acquainted with hurricanes. But a weekend is always nice. Hope you enjoyed it!

It was the best. We were right there, on the beach. One of the best birthdays ever...

I'm from Ft. Walton Beach, FL & I love the beach! Despite having spent many, many summers there, I can say that I never grew tired of it. I always felt lucky to live so close to the ocean. Hurricanes are bad, it's true, but at least you can see them coming and try to get out of the way. Now I deal with tornados and they are downright sneaky, popping out of the sky with practically no warning.

Anyhow, I envy the fact you went to Florida! I want to go, visit the family, hang out on the beach & listen to the waves. *Sigh*
